| Phytomics Similarity Index™ (PSI): Pattern Comparison |

PhytoCeutica has developed a novel method to compare information intensive patterns that considers not only the individual peak intensities obtained from LC/MS analysis, but also the complete set of ratios of all of the various peaks. Comparison
of the entire pattern by measuring the correlation between two such intensity ratio matrices from different botanical batches results in a value called the Phytomics Similarity Index (PSI) that ranges between 0 (completely dissimilar) to 1 (complete identity). The PSI values can be weighted by the relative individual peak intensity for each compound, compound relevance, etc. PSI analysis is preferred in cases where there is significant interaction between individual elements within the overall pattern that may be relevant to quality control and it also rapidly reveals outlier peaks within the pattern. |
